Hello everyone! I’m pleased to report a new mold came in for our soon to be default peanut piece. I was so excited about it, I had to take a picture while the mold was still hot! 😀
The design and material work beautifully. Unlike the 3d printed version of this same design, it can be inserted and removed without risking breaking the torso or pelvis. If you have the universal design, that one of course is very easy to remove by simply unscrewing it and removing both halves. If you have the brown 3d printed version, you probably don’t need to bother getting a replacement. But if you do, it’s best to contact me first via email.
Here’s a video showing how this new part performs and how to go about purchasing a FREE replacement (1 per customer) and how to install it.
YAY! I’m so happy. This part of the design has been a source of great frustration and it’s such a relief to finally have something that is repeatable, and works consistently. The flexible nature of the material I’m using makes it perform beautifully. All armatures will now be made with this design from here on out. Though the universal peanut joint will continue to be made available through our pieces page. The universal design has the potential for greater weight-retention. But still suffers from the occasional breakage so replacements are also available for free if you want to continue using that design.
