In case you’re wondering why my youtube profile seems to be gone it’s because Google locked me out of the Armature Nine YouTube account. Despite my many attempts to gain access, I can’t. They say I violated their terms of service but haven’t explained how. The only thing I can think of is an email I sent recently to some of my mailing list subscribers. It was actually my very first time ever using the account for sending emails and I made sure to stay within the daily limit.
I would kindly ask that if you happen to be browsing through my videos up there that you take the liberty to answer questions or report any abusive content as I will no longer have that ability.
This is all very frustrating, of course. I spent six years growing the channel and now I guess Google has claimed ownership over it. We appear to live in a bullyocracy. Bully’s take all it seems. In the meantime, I will continue to post video updates on my own page here: https://www.a9rig.com

Outch… big tech is on its ay to be “too big to be of use” it seems… cross finger they unblock your account at some point 😦

That’s sad to hear, courage
You really were inspired when you decided to self-host, it’s sad to be proven right in these instance…

\o/ So it’s back ?! Wouhou !! That is a great new ! Did they gave you an explanation ? That so rude to just cut people off without at least a reason.

No reason given. I’m guessing the account was shut down by some algorithm. And then once reviewed by a real human, reinstated. I don’t like the idea of living in a world where our liberty stands at the behest of algorithms.

Agree, algorithm aren’t a viable solution, especially when “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature !” catch phrase come as a joke so often… plus they aren’t used for people’s good in most case, especially on big social media platform…
Do you consider using an instance of PeerTube to broadcast them from your server ? Not sure if it’s very demanding CPU-wise but it benefit from the federation at least.
