New York has been claimed!! Thank you to this customer that took Rider to Niagra Falls for these epic photos.
Even has a rainbow coming out of his rear! Hah hah!!
Great details from the photographer:
These photos were taken today (3/21/22), at Niagara Falls state park in Niagara Falls, New York (though Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada is also visible in the background as a bonus!). The first photo is looking northeast (downstream) and the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls are visible on the right, with the Rainbow International bridge beyond that.
The Second picture is looking northwest (upstream) at the Horseshoe Falls. The border runs down the middle of the Niagara River so half of the horseshoe is on the US side and half is in Canada. Thus, we own much more Niagara’s falls…but Canada has the better view. Ha!
I went to the Buffalo public library, and used their 3D printer to make a wooden barrel, and then painted it up, for Ryder to get into the spirit of his first visit to the mighty Niagara. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get to the real good viewing points for the falls today, as they are still closed off from the winter season for safety reasons.
“The first recorded person to survive going over the falls was school teacher Annie Edson Taylor, who in 1901, successfully completed the stunt inside an oak barrel. In the following 121 years, thousands of people have been swept over the falls but only sixteen people have reportedly survived the feat.”
